François Bernard Gemgembre created FBG Architecture in 2007 after 11 years of experience as an architect for Denniston (Asia), project manager for Club Med, then agency director for Topchoice (China).
These various international experiences have enabled him to forge solid expertise and a transversal approach to hotel projects. On the strength of this experience and convinced that building differently is possible, François Bernard Gemgembre combines his global and multicultural outlook with an experimental sustainable approach that he renews with each project.
Driven by the desire to bring out the co-design of innovative sustainable projects on an urban scale, FBG Architecture designs large-scale hotel projects, urban projects, public facilities and housing in France and around the world, from the study phase to the follow-up of the works.
STEPS
THE SPECIFICITIES OF THE WORKSHOP
The workshop develops a co-design approach with the various stakeholders to develop a new way of living together and to realize the dreams of future users as closely as possible. The realization of 2 participatory housing projects in Île-de-France contribute to the tracing of a new furrow in the architectural landscape in resonance with local energies.
At the heart of his approach, life with nature holds a primordial place. Thus, the projects promote the use of bio-sourced materials such as wood and straw (school canteen of Saint-Chéron) and the integration of buildings with nature (Club Med Samoens).
Influenced by the Asian experiences of its founder, the workshop integrates Zen and feng shui principles into each of its projects for better living comfort, feelings and air quality.
